Introducing Impact Ratings

Impact Rating is a framework that assigns an objective numeric rating to a college swimming recruit. The methodology used to compute a recruit’s Impact Rating directly reflects that recruit’s ability to make an athletic impact at the collegiate level. Impact Rankings

Impact Rankings show the rank of 15-18 year old recruits sorted by their Impact Rating. You can see the rank of recruits by age (e.g. 18-year old males) or age range (16-17 year old females). A link to the Impact Rankings can be found at Rankings -> HS Recruits. The direct link is at

Find and Share Your Impact Rating/Ranking

You can find your Impact Rating/Ranking by going to the Impact Rankings, selecting your gender, typing your name in the “Search swimmers…” input field, and hitting Enter/Return. You can then generate a customizable URL to share your Impact Rating/Ranking with anyone by clicking on the three-dot menu on the right (beside your Rating) and selecting “Generate Share URL”.

Impact Rating: College Recruiting Standards

The average recruit’s Impact Rating for a college team has been added to each college profile in the SwimIntel database. This tells you how a college has historically recruited and lets you easily compare their historical recruiting standards to your Impact Rating.

Your Impact Rating in Your Best Fit Report

Your Impact Rating and where it currently fits in the world of college swimming has been added to your Best Fit Report. A new section has been added to each Best Fit Report to help you understand your Impact Rating and how you can use it to help you find college teams that are a “Best Fit” for you.

Find High School Recruits

You can now find high school recruits by name, club, event, time, age, etc. at the Find Recruits page (for college coaches). Quickly see all SCY best times for a potential recruit, save the recruit to a recruit list, and instantly see the AI predictions for that recruit through college. Recruit Lists and Statistics

You can now save recruits and their PredictAI times to custom recruit lists. For college coaches, everyone on your coaching staff can see and edit all of your staff’s recruit lists. You can edit, label, filter, sort, see details, and view statistics on individual recruits and entire lists. You can now view detailed division profiles for NCAA D1, D2, and D3. View NCAA championship times, rankings, FR improvement rankings by conference (D1), JR-SR improvement rankings by conference (D1), conference statistics, and more. NCAA division profiles are linked anywhere you see an NCAA logo or by using the search bar at the top (e.g. NCAA D1).

Conference Profiles

You can now view detailed profiles for each conference tracked by SwimIntel. View conference championship rankings, FR improvement rankings, JR-SR improvement rankings, average team size, average retention, conference statistics, championship A-final/B-final/champion times, and more. Conference profiles are linked anywhere you see a conference logo including the main colleges page as well as within each college profile. You can also search for specific conferences in the search bar at the top.

Trend Analysis Added to College Profiles

You can now see year-over-year trends for key metrics such as retention, roster size, and swimmer improvement on each college profile. This will help you analyze how a program is trending on its key metrics. *Note: The 2023-24 season is still ongoing, which means improvement metrics will change before season’s end.

Your Best Times versus Conference Championships

You can now add your three best events and times to your profile under User -> Account. If any of your three best event times are faster than a conference championship B-final, A-final, or 1st place time, a ✅ will appear next to the time on a school’s profile page. Conference championship times and swimmer improvement times will default to your best event on the primary college profile page.

Your ACT/SAT Score

You can now add your ACT and/or SAT score to your profile to show where your score fits in a school’s existing ACT/SAT range. Add your ACT/SAT score in your profile by going to User -> Account and your score(s) will automatically populate on each school’s profile.
